I have been blessed with insatiable curiosity and a vivid imagination. From a young age I was taking things apart to see how they worked, not just physical "things" but emotional and mental concepts as well.
Throughout my life I have lived with a balance of right and left brain activity, being both creatively and artistically expressive and also enjoying complex analytical puzzles.
Web page creation naturally appealed to me because it lets me use both halves of my brain to achieve an end. In the same way digital art is also a fascination, especially fractal generation. To create the most exquisite images using mathmatics . . . .
I first began messing around with computers in 1987 and determined then that I wanted to understand how they worked. I was motivated further when I "broke" my first computer and had to learn how to fix it because I couldn't afford to have someone else do it at the time. I have been tinkering around with them ever since, I've built several computers for myself and continue to build them for clients as well. I also run SuSE Linux on my computer, having discovered the fascinating world of Open Source software, amazing!
Drawing and painting have been a part of my life since I was young also, it has only been in recent years that I have begun to open up to "getting my hands dirty" kind of art and not so much into pixels on the computer. Recent classes in painting at Pratt Fine Arts Center has been enlightening. This is a path of intense personal growth for me. I see the world in a very intense and detailed way, this is reflected in my photography as well.
Please feel free to email me if you'd like to get to know me better. The best way for you to do that is on my Contact Info page where I've made a form (it helps keep the spam down on this end).
Peace,
Gail
